"Recently catalogued" is a status applied to books (or other items like DVDs) that have been ordered for library collections and have arrived in the library system. The book has been processed by our collection services team, but it hasn't arrived at its final destination yet - the library shelves. You'll know that the book has arrived at the shelf because the status will be changed to "available."

You can request "recently catalogued" books, so that when the book is checked in at the final destination it will be put on the hold shelf for you and you will receive an email telling you it's available for pick up. Simply click on the "Request" button within the library catalogue. More information about requests and recalls can be found here.
