The University Library is introducing a new authentication system called OpenAthens to improve access to electronic resources, including databases, journals and ebooks. The transition will include redirection of links until the end of 2024.
You can help the transition by ensuring you are using Leganto to manage your reading lists and by using the latest link provided in the Library Catalogue for an item when you are linking to eresources elsewhere in Canvas.
To find the updated link:
1. Look up the item in the Library catalogue
2. From the ‘Send item details’ section of an item’s full record, select “URL”
3. Click on the “Copy the URL to clipboard” button to copy the link. Please use this generated link instead of the url in your browser.
How you can get help
If you find broken links in your Canvas site: please update the link by looking up the item in the Library Catalogue and using the permanent URL generated from the catalogue record (as described above).
