If you come across an ebook record in the Library Catalogue but cannot access it because the link is broken, please try to see if there are other links available under the “View online” section of that record:

Graphical user interface, text, application, email

Description automatically generated

If none of the links in the record are working for you, please try to see if you can access the ebook via a database instead:

Step 1: Different ebooks are available in different databases. To help you find out which database to use, take a look at the name of the ebook link. It will often include the name of a database or platform.

For example, the ebook link below starts with “Proquest ebook central…”. This tells you that this ebook can be found via the Proquest ebook central database.

Graphical user interface, text, application, email

Step 2: To access databases, go to the A-Z Databases and eresources page. You can get to this page by clicking on “Databases” from the Library website homepage or by clicking on “Databases” from the top menu of the Library Catalogue:

Graphical user interface, text, application

Description automatically generated

Step 3: Type in the name of the database in the search box and click Go:

Graphical user interface, text, application

Description automatically generated

Step 4: Click on the database name to access it:

Graphical user interface, text, application, email

Description automatically generated

Step 5: Once you are in the database, start using its search functionality to find your ebook.
