You can download a copy of EndNote for your home or University computer as long as you are a current student or staff member of the University of Sydney.

Links to download are available from the Library's EndNote guide.

Please note that there are different versions for PC and Mac.

  1. Hi,
I tried to download endnote following the above links but was unsuccessful. When I open the 'download endnote' page and follow the link to download for Mac I receive the following error message: 'Permission denied: This resource is accessible from approved sections of Sydnet only'. However if I try the download link for PC it works. Just wondering what I should do to get around this?
    Thanks!

  2. Hi Lauren,

I have just tested this and the download links appear to be working. Your best course of action would be to contact Student IT to assist you with the download:

  4. Is Endnote free to use in home computer? The download require a product key, where i could access the key?

  5. Hi Freda,

As a current student you can download EndNote through the ICT website using you UniKey. This should mean that you do not need a product key.

  6. Hello, why does it require an identification key if it is free?

  7. Hi Layla,
As a university staff or student EndNote is available to you for free as ICT pay for a University license for it.
