The Library subscription to Factiva may not be used for this type of project.

Downloading large amounts of data that exceed the normal "reader" level from Factiva for this purpose is against the Terms and Conditions of use and will be blocked.

An API license is available from Dow Jones at a (high) cost if you wish to pursue this; ask your Academic Liaison Librarian for the contact details. Your librarian may also be able to help with alternative resources.

Proquest Historical Newspapers may be used for these projects, contact the Library Research Data Team for  more information.

Some of our other licensed resources also allow text and data mining (TDM). See the list of resources under "Library Subscription Data Sources" on the Research Data Management page.

Note that downloading doesn't have to be automated or via an API to be considered TDM.
