The University of Sydney Library supports the continued development of the library and information profession through our library students’ placement program.

We offer placements for professional and para-professional library students and library-related disciplines in Semester 2.

Who can apply?

Undergraduate and postgraduate Library students at university and TAFE.

When can I apply?

Applications will be accepted from 5-16 June, 2017.

How many placements will be offered for 2017?

The intake for 2017 is four placements.

When will I know if I was successful?

Successful applicants will be notified by email by 30 June 2017.

The Program

Placements are to be offered in specific areas, you indicate your preferences on in the application.

  • Full Name
  • Address
  • University or TAFE (What institution you are enrolled in)
  • Course of study
  • Progression of study
  • Preferred dates during Semester 2
  • Nomination of three ranked areas of interest (see list below)
  • Why are you interested in a student placement at the University of Sydney Library? (Max 100 words)
