It sounds like you are trying to use one of the "restricted articles" in Harvard Business Review. We have full reading access to HBR in Ebsco database(s) such as Business Source Complete.

There are restrictions preventing linking directly to articles in HBR for, eg, Unit of Study readings or bookmarks.

Also, access to 500 of the articles published in HBR is restricted, and they may only be read on-screen.

Printing and/or saving is disabled for these PDFs. Even if you can save a PDF, it will not be printable.



How will I know if an article is restricted?

It's not possible to link directly to any article published in HBR. For printing and saving, the access restrictions are included at the end of each of the articles.

You may also see messages such as "The full text for selected articles from this publisher cannot be printed" when you try to print inside Business Source Complete, or  "The publisher offers limited access to this article. The full text cannot be printed or saved." when you first open the item in the database.
