You can create up to 25 Search Alerts in your MyLoans record, for eg, keyword or author searches, or for specific titles. You'll then get an email every Tuesday morning if your search has found anything new has been added in the previous week.  (It can only find new items, or new editions, not additional copies of an existing item.)

To set up an alert:

1. First login to MyLoans, and using the search box at the top of the screen, carry out your search. You can change the search type using the dropdown if required.

2 At the top of your search results, click the Save as preferred search button, then the Return to your Record link at the top of the page.

3. Back in MyLoans, click the Saved Searches and Email Alerts link to see a list of your saved searches.

4. If you want the search to be included in your email alert, check the Mark for email box beside the search, then Update List.

5. Re-run a search at any time by clicking the Search link to the right of any of your saved searches.

If you are waiting for a specific title,  set up an alert using an ISBN/ISSN number for your search, or if you want to be notified of a new edition of a title, do a keyword search of the title and add the edition number, eg use "10th ed".

Go here for more info on new titles, including using our rss feeds.
