The "in transit" status usually means that the item is travelling between 2 of our libraries.

This will appear if an item has been:

  • requested from a different campus library or Storage
  • or the item is travelling back to its home library

"In transit" status can also appear on new items which have been ordered but have not yet arrived.

 You are able to place requests / holds on "in transit" items. It usually takes between 1-3 days for items to arrive back at their destination if they are travelling between library locations. It can take several weeks for ordered items to arrive.
